Udemy - Electronic Circuits - Part2 - Diode Circuits
MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz
Language: English | Size: 4.43 GB | Duration: 8h 20m
Analysis and Design of Diode Circuits (Including MATLAB, Multisim, and real world electronics LAB)

What you'll learn
Review of circuit analysis techniques such as node-voltage or mesh-current analysis.
Review of Thevenin and Norton's theorems.
Characteristics and modeling of semiconductor diodes.
Simulation of Diode Circuits using NI Multisim.
Multisim, Excel and Matlab integration.
More useful commands in MATLAB (Extending MATLAB commands of part1).
Analysis and design of practical diode circuits.
Laboratory experiments using real components.
Requirements
You should be familiar with linear circuit analysis techniques such as KVL, KCL, mesh and nodal analysis. However, these methods are reviewed at the first chapter.
You should be familiar with basic linear components such as resistors, capacitors and inductors.
In this part you will learn more commands in MATLAB. So it is assumed that you are already familiar with MATLAB interface and basic commands.
Having a trial version of MATLAB and Multisim softwares is recommended. (You can use a scientific calculator for mathematical calculations instead of using MATLAB)
You should have basic familiarity with calculus and linear algebra.
NI myDAQ (Recommended. Woks great with Multisim. You can use your own instruments as well).
Description
The diode is a nonlinear device. The important concept of piecewise-linear modeling will be applied to the diode in most applications. The concept of small-signal and large-signal models will be introduced.
The diode is used in many important non-amplifier applications. A few of these will be considered later in this part.
Junction diodes have many applications in various electronic circuits and systems such as rectifiers, voltage regulators, varactors, clippers, limiters, photodetectors, LEDs and so on. This part of the course discusses them in detail.
Who this course is for:
This course is suitable for people, who are already familiar with linear electrical circuits (circuits containing resistors, capacitors and inductors), and want to extend their knowledge to semiconductor devices such as diode circuits. Anyone who is taking this course should have a basic understanding of circuit analysis theories and techniques such as Ohm law, Kirchhoffe's voltage and current laws (KVL and KCL), Thevenins theorem, and so on. However, these theories and techniques are quickly reviewed at the beginning.
***IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH RESISTORS, CAPACITORS AND INDUCTORS AT ALL, THIS COURSE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOU***
