Introduction to complex numbers is often the last topic covered in the H2 A Level Mathematics exams. Many students find it hard, but it really isn't if you understand the concepts.
Welcome to this course on introduction to complex numbers. This course is created by Emily from Emily Learning, who has 2 decades of experience coaching students for their A, O and N Level exams.
With this course, your child will be able to master the content he or she need to know for H2 A Level Mathematics : Introduction to complex numbers.
This course on A-Level Introduction to Complex Numbers is written based on the Singapore A Level Mathematics syllabus (9758).
In this course, we will cover
- what are imaginary numbers (i)
- complex numbers in cartesian form
- addition and subtraction of complex numbers in cartesian form
- multiplication and division of complex numbers in cartesian form
- conjugates of complex numbers
- condition for complex numbers to be equal
- solving polynomial equations involving complex numbers
- geometric representation of complex numbers
- complex numbers in polar form (exponential and trigonometric form)
- multiplication and division of complex numbers in polar form
- modulus and argument of a complex number
- rules of argument of a complex number
In addition, we will also be going through sample questions to reinforce what you've learnt in this course.
This is the introductory course that I conduct in my face-to-face tuition lessons. In this course, we go through the concepts tested in A Level, as well as how to apply these concepts to questions. The complete course usually takes multiple 2- hour lessons. But now, you can build up your complex numbers foundation anytime, anywhere, at your own pace, and watch it any number of times you like.
