Description
Two full-length classes for anyone who wants to get creative with props in yin yoga and enjoy it even more!
Using props is actually highly recommended in yin yoga. It helps to relax the body into the poses so you can get the full benefits of this practice. The purpose is to allow the poses to work on the connective tissues, ligaments and tendons and in order to do that there should be minimal muscle activation in the targeted area.
The first class is focused on using a bolster to support you in the yin poses. The second class shows you how to use the wall creatively in your yin yoga practice.
I love to share yin yoga and all it's benefits. The meditative aspects as well as the physical release for the body. I currently notice more and more men discover this softer side of yoga and really benefit from it a lot.
It's a perfect counter balance to the more intense (yang) types of exercise, to sensitize to what the body really needs and restore the tissues.
The stimulation of the fascia (connective tissue) allows for increased muscle efficiency as this lubricates the fibers that encapsulate the muscles, creating more space and range of motion.
Feel free to check out my other (yin) yoga courses as well.
